1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to DefendChristianity.org (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Organization”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, donation platforms, volunteer programs, communications, and all related services (collectively, the “Services”).
Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1.1 Our Identity
DefendChristianity.org is a registered charitable, non-governmental organization (NGO) , not a commercial entity. We are a coalition of Christian missionaries, veterans, and humanitarian professionals united by a shared mission: to defend persecuted Christian communities worldwide through strategic intervention, humanitarian aid, and advocacy.
Our operations are directed from our headquarters in Malta and Italy. We operate globally in compliance with international humanitarian law and the principles of faith-based charity.
1.2 What We Are NOT
To avoid any misunderstanding:
| We Are NOT | Because |
|---|---|
| A commercial organization | We are a registered charity; no profits are distributed to owners or shareholders |
| A militia or armed group | We do not engage in offensive military operations |
| A political organization | We do not endorse political parties or candidates |
| A substitute for government | We operate in partnership with local authorities where possible |
2. FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY: WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO
We believe in radical transparency. Every donor has the right to know exactly how their gift is used.
2.1 The 96/4 Commitment
For every donation we receive:
| Percentage | Allocation |
|---|---|
| 96% | Directly expended on the cause – including rescue missions, humanitarian aid, safe houses, rebuilding projects, equipping programs, and field operations |
| 4% | Used for overhead – including administrative costs, banking fees, fundraising expenses, middlemen, and essential operational support |
We do not enrich any individual. We do not pay salaries beyond fair compensation for essential staff. We do not waste donor funds.
2.2 Donation Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable once processed
If you made an error in your donation amount, contact us within 7 days at info@DefendChristianity.org
Refund requests for unauthorized transactions will be investigated and handled in accordance with payment processor policies
We reserve the right to refuse refunds if funds have already been deployed to the field
2.3 Tax Deductibility
As a registered charity in Malta and Italy, donations may be tax-deductible depending on your country of residence. You are responsible for determining the tax treatment of your donation. We will provide donation receipts for your records.
3. OUR OPERATIONS & USE OF PRIVATE SECURITY
3.1 Humanitarian Mission
We operate exclusively for charitable, religious, and humanitarian purposes. Our mission is defensive, not offensive. We do not engage in:
Acts of war or armed aggression
Political insurgencies
Violent overthrow of governments
3.2 Private Security in Dangerous Zones
We are not a militia group. However, we operate in some of the most dangerous regions on earth—including active conflict zones in Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, and elsewhere.
To ensure the safety of our teams and the persecuted Christians we serve, we employ the services of licensed private security groups to accompany our personnel in high-risk areas, including:
Delta regions
Active jihadist-controlled territories
Displacement zones near militant strongholds
Extraction corridors during active violence
These private security firms operate under:
Strict rules of engagement (defensive only)
Compliance with local and international law
Oversight by our leadership and field directors
Our security personnel do not initiate violence. They protect. They deter. They defend when no other option remains and when lives are immediately at risk.
3.3 Limitation of Liability for Field Operations
By supporting our organization, you acknowledge that:
Field operations in conflict zones carry inherent risks
We take every reasonable precaution to protect our personnel and beneficiaries
We cannot guarantee the safety of any operation in active war zones
You assume no liability for our operational decisions made in good faith
